![]() And I have plenty of variety in other areas. I know, I know, I just learned my lesson about stacking a capsule with too many of the same thing (black pants) but I have a strong feeling that white tops will be different. This capsule wardrobe is heavy on white tops, joggers, and sneakers. 10 items are rolled over from my winter capsule wardrobe, noted below in italics. I am tossing my pit-stained white silk blouse in favor of a crisp new button-up, a pair of pill-y old navy joggers in favor of these dotty loose pants, and my ripped up high-school boyfriend jeans in favor of a much prettier wash. ![]() 3 of these items are “replacement” pieces for some older worn-out items I’m finally retiring, and I feel good about that, too. I stayed super focused on items I wanted to add, and waited patiently for super sales. I’m pretty proud of both of those numbers. I bought 6 new items for this spring, noted below by asterisks, spending a total of about $130 (including shipping). I made this allowance because I realistically felt an extra pair of shoes would go a long way and because I have long been wanting to upgrade my boyfriend jeans and the budget allowed it this time, so I slipped those in last-minute. Also, I upped my number–this capsule has 38 items. It’s all still very much part of experimentation…there’s always a chance I’m overreacting. This is my most varied capsule wardrobe yet, in style, item type, color, and print. This season’s round-up feels like a huge departure from what I did in the winter, so hopefully I won’t tire of it as quickly. ![]() Hello, spring! It has felt like a long wait, and I’m so excited it’s here and I can stop sneaking my “spring” items into my closet and just wear them outright guilt-free.
